Chia seeds are known to have as many antioxidants as blueberries. They are gluten free and have been consumed since ages as an egg substitute.

Chia seeds are also known as a weight loss food. They are known to be one of the healthiest foods which when consumed helps you to lose good amount of weight. They are known to lower cholesterol and thus protect your heart in the long run.

Chia seeds are rich in fiber and when fiber is consumed in excessive quantity then it can cause digestive issues. Excess fiber intake can cause bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation and likewise. As per health expert, Rawl “Chia seeds when used properly are completely safe to be consumed”. The bottom line of using chia seeds is that you must consume them with lots of water. This will provide them with enough space to expand and thus they are safe to be consumed. In any case don’t forget to check with your doctor in case of any health concerns.
  2. 2. Chia Seed Juice – make a smoothie out of banana (half large banana), chia seeds (2 teaspoon), milk, blueberries (2 cup frozen) and Greek yogurt(5.3 oz). This is not only tasty but healthy as well. You can consume it in morning with your breakfast.
