My lips are dry all around the year. And thus I keep hunting for lip balms regularly. But I always make it a point to use nude lip balms so that it won’t interfere with my lipstick. But sometimes when I don’t want to use any lipstick and want to stay all low key then this is the time when I want to use only lip balms on my lips.
I wanted a basic lip balm which would not only hydrate my lips but also add a very little color. After thorough checking, I landed on Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry Lip Balm. Keep reading to know if the lip balm is worth your lips or not.

My Experience with Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry Lip Balm
Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry Lip Balm comes in small packaging. The packaging is small enough which easily fits inside the pocket. The cap of the lip balm is color coded and thus you will be able to understand the shade easily. The base of the lip balm has color code details. You will find packaging and product details on the top of the lip balm.
Texture wise the lip balm is quite soft and comfortable on lips. The lip balm is easy to be applied on lips. You won’t feel any tugging or pulling with this lip balm. The lips feel hydrated and comfortable under this lip balm.
Shade wise, strawberry is a light coral colour. The colour is good for Indian skin tones but actually only very little or light coral colour is only visible on lips. For dusky skin tones like me, this is a strict no colour. There are tiny bits of shimmer in this colour but in the lips they are not visible.
Pigmentation wise, the lip balm is average. There is a very slight tint of colour on single use. Actually, even after repeated usage you will see very light tint of colour. The pigmentation of the lip balm is not enough to cover your pigmented lips. The unevenness on my lips are very clearly visible.
The finish of the lip balm is slightly glossy but not fully. This is not completely glossy just like a lip gloss. The hydration power is pretty average. I feel my lips stay hydrated for only 1-2 hours maximum. The colour also vanishes quite soon.
Overall, the lip balm is a huge money waste and fair for me. This neither covers the pigmentation of my lips nor has the hydration effect on my lips.

Rating – 1/5
Last words – Nivea Fruity Shine Strawberry Lip Balm is an average lip balm. It does not do any job of hydration or even in terms of longevity. Also, it can do a good job as a base lip balm in terms of hydration because over a lipstick the lip balm stays for longer amount of time.
